Senior Data Analyst - Capital Markets

Strategic Staffing Solutions International
client delivers innovative software solutions for capital markets and financial services. The company offers a wide range of services, from “tip-of-the-spear” advisory and application design to system architecture, implementation, testing, and deployment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain data transformations, reports, and integrations using Excel, XML, XSLT, and XPath.
• Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve trade data issues independently, including exceptions and breaks.
• Perform complex data manipulation, extraction, and reconciliation tasks using Excel and basic SQL queries (joins, group by, functions, procedures, constraints).
• Configure and maintain system data views, user setups, and related technical settings in Everest WinForms.
• Collaborate with trading, operations, and IT teams to support data pipelines and ensure data integrity.
• Document technical procedures, troubleshooting steps, and maintain operational runbooks for repeatable processes.

Requirements:

• Strong SQL proficiency for querying, analysis, and troubleshooting.
• Advanced Excel skills for reconciliation and data analysis.
• Trading and investment experience.
• Hands-on experience with at least one industry-standard OMS (Charles River, Aladdin, Bloomberg AIM, Eze, SimCorp, Everest) is a plus.

*Additional skills (nice to have):*

• Knowledge of XML/XSLT/XPath.
• Comfortable with Windows-based trading applications.
• Experience supporting traders, portfolio managers, compliance, and operations
• Familiarity with development languages or prior software development experience

Additional details:

• This is a contractor position only (C2C).
• Minimum 3 days per week in-office presence required (NY office).

Offered salary: $85-$110 per hour
