Role summary

We are seeking a Software Data Engineer to join our high-growth engineering team in Los Angeles or San Francisco. This hybrid role requires 1-5 years of experience in data engineering, with strong proficiency in Python and SQL. You will be responsible for building data pipelines and ETL workflows, working with structured and unstructured data, and leveraging your debugging and problem-solving skills in a fast-paced environment. Preferred qualifications include experience with Kafka, Spark Streaming, Flink, cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), NoSQL, data warehousing, and specific industry experience in defense, aerospace, radar, or sensor systems.

Requirements:

• 1–5 years of Software or Data Engineering experience

• Strong Python & SQL experience

• Experience building data pipelines / ETL workflows

• Familiarity with structured & unstructured data

• Strong debugging and problem-solving skills

• Ability to work in fast-paced engineering teams

Preferred:

• Kafka, Spark Streaming, or Flink

• AWS, Azure, or GCP

• Docker / Kubernetes

• Palantir Foundry or similar platforms

• Defense, aerospace, radar, or sensor systems experience

• NoSQL / data warehousing exposure

Salary + Compensation:

• Base salary: $140K–$220K
