What do we want?

We seek a highly motivated Data Platform Administrator who thrives in optimizing and operating complex, cloud-native data systems. A successful candidate will be passionate about crafting elegant solutions to challenging data problems, from large-scale migrations to real-time orchestration. You will be excited to dive deep into AWS services, optimize processes, and ensure our data pipelines are efficient and scalable.

General Requirements

• Authorized to work in the U.S.
• 40 Hour Work Week (Including Evenings and Weekends)
• 2+ years of professional software or data engineering experience
• Strong debugging, problem-solving, and communication skills

Technical Responsibilities

• Strong proficiency in Python and advanced SQL
• Hands-on production experience with Apache Airflow and Amazon Redshift
• Working knowledge of AWS (Redshift, S3, DMS, EventBridge, CloudWatch)
• Experience building, debugging, and orchestrating Dockerized, multi-service applications to solve complex data problems.
• Comfortable working in Linux-based environments and with collaborative Git workflows
• Build and optimize Amazon Redshift data pipelines, tables, and analytics workloads, including performance tuning
• Develop and maintain Python services, scripts (Django, Flask, CLI tools), and event-driven workflows using AWS EventBridge and CloudWatch.
• Operate and improve a multi-service Docker development environment and ensure resilient, restart-safe data processing jobs.
• Implement monitoring, alerting, and validation patterns for data quality and pipeline reliability.
