About The Role
Grow Therapy is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Staff Data Scientist to join our dynamic team. In this pivotal role, you will lead data-driven initiatives that deepen our understanding of user behavior, optimize onboarding and retention strategies, and shape the future of our digital therapy platform. Your expertise will be instrumental in developing predictive models, attribution frameworks, and behavioral analytics that inform marketing strategies, enhance therapist matching workflows, and explore AI-powered features.
As a key collaborator across product, engineering, design, and operations teams, you will translate complex data insights into actionable recommendations that drive product innovation and growth. Additionally, you will play a vital role in shaping Grow Therapy’s AI strategy by designing evaluation frameworks, conducting model experiments, and identifying opportunities to leverage artificial intelligence to improve the experience for both patients and providers. This role offers a unique opportunity to influence product strategy, experimentation, and long-term investment decisions in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment focused on expanding access to mental health care.
Qualifications
- 8+ years of experience in a quantitative role applying analytics, experimentation, and modeling within a product-focused environment
- Proficiency in SQL and Python for data analysis, modeling, and experimentation
- Extensive experience designing and analyzing A/B tests and building predictive, attribution, and behavioral models
- Proven ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights for stakeholders at all levels
- Experience owning and driving product or growth decisions through deep user understanding, funnel analytics, or marketplace dynamics
- Strong cross-functional collaboration skills, with the ability to influence without direct authority
- Comfort working in ambiguous, fast-moving environments where data science directly impacts strategic decisions
- Passion for improving access to mental health services and enthusiasm for building AI-enhanced user experiences
Responsibilities
- Lead experimentation efforts and develop key metrics to understand user behavior, optimize onboarding, and improve retention across web and mobile platforms
- Build and refine predictive, attribution, and behavioral models to inform marketing strategies, therapist matching workflows, and AI feature development
- Collaborate closely with product, engineering, design, and operations teams to identify opportunities, quantify impact, and influence product roadmaps through data insights
- Create dashboards, analytical frameworks, and self-serve tools to empower teams with scalable data access and insights
- Design evaluation frameworks and conduct experiments to shape Grow Therapy's AI strategy, identifying areas where AI can enhance user experience
- Translate complex data findings into clear, actionable recommendations for product and business growth
- Stay current with industry best practices in data science, experimentation, and AI to continually improve analytical capabilities
