About The Role

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related STEM field
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in software engineering
- Proficiency in programming languages such as C/C++, Python, and MATLAB/Simulink
- Experience with embedded systems, control theory, and signal processing
- Knowledge of Windows and Unix/Linux based programming environments
- Ability to obtain and maintain U.S. Government Security Clearance (U.S. citizenship required)
- Preferred: Master’s Degree or PhD in Computer Science or related field
- Preferred: Certified Scrum Master and/or Product Owner certification
- Experience working on aerospace software projects and troubleshooting build issues
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively within a team and independently
Responsibilities
- Design and develop open and closed-loop control systems and embedded software for aircraft engines, including both hardware and software components
- Develop, maintain, and evolve embedded software using C/C++, Python, and MATLAB/Simulink in an agile environment
- Conduct testing and validation of control systems to ensure compliance with performance, safety, and regulatory standards
- Analyze engine test data to identify issues and develop effective software solutions
- Utilize simulation tools to model engine behavior and predict performance under various conditions
- Identify opportunities for process improvement, eliminate redundancies, and promote technology reuse across teams
- Prepare comprehensive technical documentation such as design specifications, test plans, and software reports
- Collaborate closely with mechanical, electrical, and software engineering teams to integrate control systems with engine components
- Ensure all software and control systems adhere to industry standards and regulatory requirements
- Lead LEAN initiatives aimed at improving system reliability, performance, and software quality
- Work with Product Line Leaders to translate customer requirements into detailed product specifications
- Provide timely updates and communicate significant project developments to stakeholders
