About The Role
Humana is seeking a highly skilled Senior DevOps Platform Engineer to join our dynamic team and contribute to advancing our healthcare technology initiatives. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining secure, compliant cloud infrastructure across Azure and Google Cloud Platform (GCP). You will support enterprise-scale engineering teams by building modern continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines, deploying Kubernetes-based workloads, and developing Helm charts and GitOps patterns. You will play a critical role in ensuring the security, compliance, and reliability of our platforms, including integrating security tools such as SonarQube, JFrog Artifactory, and LaunchDarkly for feature flag management.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in cloud infrastructure, automation scripting, and container orchestration, with a strong understanding of HIPAA and SOC2 compliance standards. You will troubleshoot complex incidents, provide on-call support, and enhance developer experience through documentation, standards, and reusable templates. Participation in Agile ceremonies and continuous improvement initiatives will be integral to your role, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, scalable, and secure healthcare technology solutions.
Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in IT infrastructure and operations
  • 5+ years of hands-on DevOps experience
  • Proficiency with cloud platforms including Azure and GCP
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform)
  • Strong knowledge of CI/CD tools such as Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Harness, and GitOps (ArgoCD)
  • Expertise in container orchestration with Kubernetes, AKS, GKE, and OpenShift
  • Familiarity with security and quality tools like SonarQube, JFrog Artifactory, and LaunchDarkly
  • Solid Linux/Unix and Windows administration skills
  • Advanced scripting skills in PowerShell, Bash, and Python
  • Experience with AI tools such as GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, or similar
  • Knowledge of infrastructure monitoring and observability tools
  • Experience supporting large-scale enterprise DevOps platforms
  • Understanding of DORA metrics and DevOps maturity models
  • Background in regulated environments, especially healthcare, is preferred
  • Relevant certifications (Azure, GCP, Kubernetes) are a plus

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and maintain cloud infrastructure on Azure and GCP, ensuring security and compliance
  • Develop, operate, and optimize CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, Harness, GitHub Actions, and GitOps (ArgoCD)
  • Deploy and manage containerized applications with Kubernetes, including AKS, GKE, and OpenShift environments
  • Implement security best practices and integrate security tools such as SonarQube, JFrog Artifactory, and JFrog Xray
  • Manage feature flag and progressive delivery techniques using LaunchDarkly
  • Create automation scripts in PowerShell, Bash, and Python to streamline workflows
  • Leverage AI tools to enhance self-service capabilities and engineer workflows
  • Ensure HIPAA and SOC2 compliance across all DevOps processes and platforms
  • Configure, optimize, and support build agents and runners on Linux and Windows platforms
  • Provide Level 3 and on-call support for infrastructure and platform services
  • Monitor system performance, scalability, and reliability, troubleshooting complex incidents independently
  • Participate actively in Agile Scrum ceremonies, backlog grooming, and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Create comprehensive documentation, standards, and reusable templates to improve developer experience
