About The Role
As a Data Analyst at USFS, you will play a vital role supporting federal clients by providing data-driven insights and operational support. Your primary responsibilities will include developing dashboards, reports, and visualizations using tools such as Tableau and Power BI to facilitate informed decision-making. You will work closely with government agencies to analyze complex datasets, support cost modeling, and contribute to strategic initiatives including the Program Objective Memorandum (POM) process. This role offers an excellent opportunity for professionals with a strong analytical background to contribute to impactful projects that enhance operational efficiency and policy development. Multiple openings are available, ranging from junior to senior levels, allowing for a diverse range of experience levels to join our team.
Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline such as Data Science, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related fields (highly preferred)
  • 3 to 8 years of relevant professional experience in data analytics or related roles
  • Proficiency in Tableau and/or Power BI for creating dashboards and visualizations
  • Strong SQL skills for data querying and manipulation
  • Experience with programming languages such as Python is a plus
  • Proficiency in MS Excel for data analysis and modeling
  • Excellent communication skills to clearly present complex data insights
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to collaborate effectively within teams and across departments
  • U.S. Citizenship and ability to obtain DoD Secret Clearance

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain dashboards and reports using Tableau and Power BI to support federal clients’ operational and strategic needs
  • Provide analytical support for strategic modeling, metrics development, and performance measurement
  • Assist in cost modeling and conduct cost-benefit analyses for various projects and initiatives
  • Support the Program Objective Memorandum (POM) process by delivering data-driven insights and analyses
  • Analyze business processes to identify opportunities for improvement through data analytics
  • Support analytical strategies for Interactive Customer Evaluation (ICE) initiatives
  • Manage records data, ensuring compliance with FOIA declassification and records scheduling requirements
  • Generate monthly training reports, including supervisory training data for military and civilian personnel
  • Collaborate with team members and stakeholders to ensure data accuracy and integrity
  • Stay updated on the latest data analytics tools and techniques to continuously improve reporting capabilities
