About The Role
The Lead/Principal Data Analyst at DaVita is a senior-level position responsible for providing advanced analytical support to clinical leadership, including the Pharmaceutical Operations team. This role involves leading the analytical lifecycle for various clinical initiatives, from designing study protocols to evaluating pilot programs. The successful candidate will conduct complex analyses, develop sophisticated models, and translate data findings into actionable insights to inform strategic clinical decisions. They will serve as a key influencer within the organization, influencing executive-level stakeholders through clear, impactful communication of complex data insights. Additionally, the role offers mentorship opportunities, guiding junior analysts and fostering a culture of technical excellence and innovation within the team.
Qualifications

  • Minimum 5+ years of relevant experience for Lead level or 7-10+ years for Principal level in clinical data analysis, biostatistics, epidemiology, or related quantitative fields
  • Master’s degree in Epidemiology, Biostatistics, Data Science, or a related discipline from an accredited university
  • Expert-level proficiency in statistical and epidemiological methods, including study design and causal inference analysis
  • Proficiency in advanced data analysis platforms or programming languages such as R, SAS, or SPSS
  • Strong SQL skills for querying large relational databases
  • Experience with data visualization and reporting tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or IBM Cognos
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with a track record of technical mentorship and project strategy development

Responsibilities

  • Execute and influence the strategic direction of analytics within clinical functional areas, independently resolving complex problems
  • Serve as the primary analytical support for multiple clinical initiatives, translating business questions into rigorous study designs
  • Develop and implement advanced statistical and epidemiologic models to address complex clinical questions
  • Query, manage, and analyze large datasets using SQL and other data tools to extract meaningful insights
  • Present complex findings to executive leadership in a clear, concise, and actionable manner
  • Drive cross-functional collaboration by socializing insights and influencing decision-making processes
  • Mentor and oversee junior analysts, ensuring technical quality and adherence to best practices
  • Stay updated on emerging methods and technologies in clinical analytics and data science, promoting continuous innovation within the team
