About The Role
The Data Analyst II at New American Funding is a vital member of the Business Intelligence and Analytics team, responsible for transforming complex data into actionable insights. This role involves designing, developing, and maintaining comprehensive reports, dashboards, and analytical tools using industry-leading platforms like Power BI. The ideal candidate will possess strong SQL skills, experience with data visualization, and a keen eye for detail to support strategic decision-making across the organization. Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field (preferred)
  • Minimum of 3+ years of experience as a Business Data Analyst, Data Engineer, or similar role
  • Proficiency in SQL, including writing complex queries and data analysis
  • Hands-on experience with Power BI, creating visually compelling dashboards and reports
  • Knowledge of Power Automate for workflow automation
  • Experience with Snowflake or similar cloud data platforms
  • Understanding of the mortgage industry and loan lifecycle is highly desirable
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and attention to detail
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain ongoing metrics, reports, dashboards, and analyses to support stakeholder engagement and decision-making
  • Create and optimize Power BI dashboards using complex DAX functions and integrating multiple data sources
  • Analyze large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and insights that inform business strategies
  • Develop and implement SQL scripts for data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes
  • Ensure data quality and integrity through rigorous data cleansing and validation processes
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data needs and deliver tailored analytical solutions
  • Present complex data insights in a clear, concise manner with actionable recommendations
  • Support automation initiatives using Power Automate to streamline reporting workflows
  • Monitor and troubleshoot data issues, ensuring consistency and accuracy across reports
  • Stay updated with industry best practices, tools, and emerging trends in data analytics
