About The Role
We are seeking a highly experienced Staff Engineer to join our Product Growth team. In this pivotal role, you will lead high-impact, data-driven experiments aimed at optimizing user acquisition, onboarding, expansion, pricing, and usage journeys. Your work will directly influence key company metrics by designing, executing, and analyzing experiments that challenge the status quo and reimagine core product interactions. As a core member of the team, you will collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and data analysts to develop hypotheses, scope projects, build solutions, and scale successful initiatives. Your expertise will help accelerate Scribe’s growth trajectory by enabling rapid, evidence-based decision-making and continuous product improvement.
Qualifications

  • 8+ years of software engineering experience, with proficiency in both frontend and backend development (startup experience preferred)
  • Strong experience in designing, running, and analyzing high-velocity experiments within a Build–Measure–Learn framework
  • Deep understanding of data analysis and hypothesis formulation to inform product decisions
  • User-obsessed mindset with empathy, curiosity, and motivation to solve real-world problems
  • Proficiency with our tech stack: Django, React (Next.js/TypeScript), Mixpanel, and Cursor
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills to work cross-functionally across teams
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with a focus on rapid iteration and impact

Responsibilities

  • Own the end-to-end process of critical experiments, including ideation, hypothesis development, scoping, and execution
  • Collaborate with Product and Design teams to define experiment scope and success metrics
  • Build and ship experimental features and product changes efficiently and effectively
  • Analyze experiment results to determine impact and identify opportunities for further improvement
  • Scale successful experiments through iterative enhancements and best practices
  • Contribute to a culture of continuous learning and experimentation, promoting rapid testing and learning cycles
  • Maintain a strong understanding of product metrics and user behavior to inform experimentation strategies
  • Support the development of growth initiatives that align with company objectives and user needs
