About The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Staff iOS Engineer to join our Promotions and Engagement squad. In this influential individual contributor role, you will be responsible for creating and maintaining the tools and applications that connect customers, Runners, merchants, and support teams. You will collaborate closely with product and operations teams to understand customer needs, develop innovative solutions to complex problems, and deliver seamless, engaging experiences across our iOS platform. Your expertise will help shape the future of our mobile applications, ensuring they are robust, scalable, and user-friendly. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on high-impact projects within a fast-growing startup environment, leveraging your technical leadership to drive continuous improvement and innovation.
Qualifications

  • A related degree or comparable formal training, certification, or work experience
  • 7+ years of relevant software engineering experience
  • Advanced understanding of software design patterns to write clean, well-structured, idiomatic code leveraging the full power of a language
  • Strong knowledge of REST + JSON, API versioning strategies, and security best practices
  • Experience or familiarity with Swift, Swift UI, Objective C, XCTest, MVC, MVVM, XCUITest, Cocoapods, SPM, Alamofire, Jenkins
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proven ability to lead larger initiatives and work collaboratively across teams
  • Experience with debugging tools, test automation, and building upon existing application patterns
  • Experience in a high-growth startup environment is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Recommend process and tooling improvements based on industry standards, patterns, and best practices
  • Independently diagnose, build, and resolve complex technical issues within the iOS platform
  • Collaborate with engineering and product teams to plan and implement large-scale features and enhancements
  • Communicate project statuses, issues, risks, and concerns to technical leadership and stakeholders
  • Lead the creation of technical documentation and provide training on technology stacks and standards
  • Assist other engineers in understanding system and application designs
  • Manage all phases of native iOS application development, including testing and deployment
  • Ensure the security, performance, and quality of iOS applications through best practices and testing
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of development processes and code quality
