About The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Data Analyst / AWS QuickSight Administrator & Developer to join our Data Analytics team. This hybrid role is pivotal in managing and enhancing our Business Intelligence (BI) platform while developing impactful dashboards that drive strategic decision-making. The successful candidate will work closely with various business stakeholders to understand their analytical needs, translate these requirements into effective solutions, and deliver insights that support our retail operations. This role combines technical expertise in AWS QuickSight administration and dashboard development with advanced analytical capabilities, all within a fast-paced retail environment. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for data-driven decision-making, excellent communication skills, and a collaborative mindset to thrive in a dynamic team setting.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Analytics, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in analytics, business intelligence, and data visualization.
- Strong hands-on experience with AWS QuickSight, including platform administration and dashboard development.
- Advanced SQL skills; proficiency in Python is an asset.
- Proven experience working within the retail industry, particularly in sales, inventory, margins, promotions, e-commerce, or omnichannel analytics.
- Ability to work directly with business teams, understand their needs, and translate them into actionable analytical solutions.
- Excellent knowledge of data visualization principles and user-centric dashboard design.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and documentation skills.
- Experience working in Agile environments and methodologies.
Responsibilities
- Administer and continuously improve the AWS QuickSight platform, including user management, security protocols, governance policies, and cost optimization strategies.
- Design, develop, and maintain high-quality, interactive dashboards that provide valuable insights to business stakeholders.
- Create, manage, and optimize analytical datasets sourced from multiple data repositories to support various reporting needs.
- Engage with business stakeholders to gather requirements, document functional needs, and ensure solutions align with strategic objectives.
- Perform comprehensive data analyses to identify trends, insights, and opportunities for operational and strategic improvements, especially within retail and omnichannel contexts.
- Communicate complex data insights effectively through storytelling techniques tailored to non-technical audiences.
- Collaborate with Data Engineers, Product Owners, IT teams, and business partners to ensure data quality, consistency, and best practices.
- Contribute to the development and refinement of BI standards, analytical practices, and visualization guidelines to promote a data-driven culture.
