About The Role
We are seeking an experienced Data Engineer to join Evio’s dynamic team, contributing to building a reliable, scalable, and secure data platform that supports our mission of pharmacy innovation. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining our AWS-cloud-native data systems, ensuring efficient data processing, storage, and analysis. You will collaborate closely with product management and data analytics teams to create effective ETL processes, shape data flow across our ecosystem, and uphold data integrity and security standards. Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Informatics, Information Systems, or a related field
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in data engineering or a comparable role with demonstrated leadership
- Proficiency in AWS-native data services including Redshift, Aurora, RDS PostgreSQL, Glue, Lambda, Step Functions, and MWAA-Airflow
- Strong expertise in Python and SQL, with experience in advanced query design and database optimization
- Hands-on experience working with healthcare data such as Medical Claims and Rx Claims
- Ability to develop subject-matter expertise and collaborate effectively with business teams
- Reliable and capable of delivering accurate work within tight deadlines
- Passion for leveraging data to improve health outcomes and operational processes
Responsibilities
- Design and implement cloud-native data solutions utilizing AWS services such as AWS Glue, Lambda, Step Functions, Redshift, Aurora, and S3
- Create scalable data architectures including data lakes, data warehouses, and transactional processing systems
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand data requirements and translate them into effective data models
- Assemble complex, large-scale data sets to meet business needs
- Develop and support ETL processes for health care data ingestion, cleaning, and transformation
- Automate manual data processes to optimize delivery and operational efficiency
- Monitor and tune data pipelines for performance, cost-efficiency, and reliability, implementing caching and partitioning strategies
- Stay current with AWS service updates and recommend suitable tools for data engineering tasks
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship within the data engineering team, fostering a collaborative environment
- Partner with product and analytics teams to develop solutions aligned with business goals
- Implement and enforce data security measures, governance standards, and compliance with healthcare regulations
