Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams such as Design, Product, and Marketing, you will translate strategic goals into technical solutions that deliver measurable impact. Qualifications
- Extensive experience in designing and building user-facing platforms and scalable backend systems
- Proficiency in full-stack development, including APIs, AWS infrastructure, and modern front-end frameworks such as React
- Strong understanding of SEO best practices and performance optimization for high-traffic web applications
- Experience integrating third-party data sources and content management systems like Contentful
- Expertise in leveraging large language models (LLMs) and AI technologies to develop intelligent features
- Proven track record of leading technical projects from conception to deployment
- Excellent mentorship and leadership skills, promoting best practices across distributed teams
- Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
Responsibilities
- Lead the technical direction of Zocdoc's acquisition platform, ensuring system stability, scalability, and optimal user experience
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable APIs and microservices that facilitate seamless data access and user interactions
- Collaborate with design teams to iterate on user interfaces, enhancing the overall patient journey and trustworthiness of the platform
- Engage proactively with product teams to align on strategic goals, project timelines, and deliverables
- Mentor engineering team members, fostering a culture of technical excellence, code quality, and continuous learning
- Drive innovation initiatives, particularly in AI, to introduce intelligent, personalized features for users
- Optimize systems for performance, reliability, and SEO to ensure fast, discoverable, and engaging patient experiences
- Integrate third-party data sources and content management systems to support dynamic content delivery
- Promote best practices in testing, CI/CD, observability, and system performance monitoring
- Participate in technical reviews, code audits, and documentation to uphold engineering standards
