About The Role
As a Data Platform Engineer at Worth AI, you will play a crucial role in designing, building, and maintaining the core data services that power our products and analytics. You will be responsible for developing end-to-end data pipelines, API services, and managing high-performance data platforms that support internal teams such as data science, analytics, and engineering, as well as external partners. This position requires a highly skilled professional who can treat the data platform as a product, ensuring it meets strong SLAs, reliability standards, and provides a seamless self-service experience. You will work within a small, high-impact team dedicated to creating a robust, scalable, and secure data infrastructure that drives strategic decision-making and operational excellence.
Qualifications
- Hands-on experience with Graph databases such as Neo4j, AWS Neptune, or TigerGraph
- Proficiency in query languages like Cypher or Gremlin
- Proven expertise in Entity Resolution or Record Linkage, utilizing tools like Senzing, Quantexa, or custom probabilistic models
- Strong skills in schema design and ontology development for complex and evolving regulatory data
- Experience in building and optimizing GraphQL or REST APIs for graph data traversal
- Experience in developing scalable data platforms or “data-as-a-service” solutions at large-scale organizations
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, Go, or Rust
- Hands-on experience with cloud-native data pipelines and ETL/ELT workflows on AWS or similar cloud providers
- Knowledge of modern data stack tools including Spark/Flink, Kafka/Kinesis, Airflow, and data warehouses like Snowflake, Redshift, or BigQuery
- Familiarity with DevOps practices including CI/CD, containerization (Docker), orchestration (Kubernetes), and infrastructure-as-code (Terraform)
- Strong focus on observability, resilience, and early warning systems for data platforms
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate across technical and non-technical teams
Responsibilities
- Architect and implement entity resolution logic to de-duplicate and link disparate data points into unified "Golden Records"
- Design and maintain a high-performance global business knowledge graph and ontology to map complex ownership chains, UBOs, and hidden risk relationships
- Implement hybrid storage strategies combining graph databases with document and search stores for rich metadata and adverse media content
- Optimize the platform for real-time risk assessment, enabling rapid traversal of ownership structures for automated onboarding decisions
- Build scalable data services and APIs for data ingestion, transformation, and distribution across the organization
- Develop and maintain batch and streaming data pipelines using modern frameworks and cloud-native tools
- Ensure platform reliability, performance, and API availability through monitoring, alerting, and proactive maintenance
- Implement data modeling, quality, lineage, and governance best practices to ensure trustworthy datasets
- Collaborate closely with data scientists, analysts, and engineers to understand their needs and translate them into platform features
- Drive automation and standardization via CI/CD pipelines, model deployment, and reproducible environments
- Contribute to defining and evolving the architecture of the data platform as a reliable internal service with clear SLAs and versioned APIs
