About The Role
As a Lead Data Engineer at Cognizant, you will play a pivotal role in driving data quality, governance, and master data management initiatives utilizing the Ataccama and Collibra platforms. You will be a key member of the data team, collaborating closely with managers, colleagues, and clients to design and implement robust data solutions. Your expertise will ensure the integrity, consistency, and security of enterprise data assets, enabling data-driven decision-making across the organization.
In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying solutions using Ataccama tools such as Data Quality, MDM, RDM, Data Catalog, and Data Profiling. You will build and optimize data quality rules, workflows, match/merge logic, and validation frameworks to maintain high standards of data accuracy. Additionally, you will configure and maintain Ataccama pipelines, metadata models, and integration components, ensuring seamless data flow and governance.
You will implement data cleansing, standardization, enrichment, and monitoring processes to enhance data usability. Your responsibilities will also include integrating Ataccama with enterprise systems like Snowflake, AWS cloud platforms, ETL/ELT pipelines, APIs, and messaging systems. Working closely with data engineers, you will ensure efficient data ingestion and processing, supporting the organization’s analytics and reporting needs.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in an IT-related role
  • Strong hands-on experience with Ataccama platform (Data Quality, MDM, RDM, Data Catalog, Data Profiling)
  • Proficiency with Collibra data governance platform
  • Experience with Snowflake data warehouse
  • Knowledge of cloud platforms, particularly AWS
  • Experience with ETL/ELT pipelines and data integration techniques
  • Familiarity with APIs and messaging systems
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote environment
