About The Role

This client-facing role requires a strong foundation in applied statistics, predictive modeling, and analytical techniques to solve real-world, business-driven problems. The ideal candidate will have experience working with modern analytics tools and cloud platforms, capable of translating complex data into actionable insights that support decision-making, performance improvements, and enhanced client outcomes. This position offers an excellent opportunity for early-career professionals or recent graduates with hands-on project or internship experience to develop their skills within a collaborative and innovative environment.
The role is primarily remote, with a preference for candidates willing to be on-site in Charlotte periodically. In-office presence a few times per month is highly valued for early career development, team collaboration, and client engagement. Note that employment-based visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
Qualifications
- 2-3 years of relevant professional experience, including 1-2+ years in a client-facing or stakeholder management role
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Statistics, Data Science, Mathematics, or related quantitative field
- Hands-on experience with applied statistics, exploratory data analysis, and predictive modeling
- Proficiency in regression models (linear, logistic), classification, and ensemble methods
- Strong programming skills in R and/or Python, including key data science libraries
- Intermediate SQL query development and data extraction skills
- Experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or ggplot2
- Familiarity with cloud analytics environments, file storage systems, and enterprise data access methods
- Ability to analyze structured and unstructured datasets with strong data wrangling capabilities
- Excellent communication skills to translate technical findings into business insights
Responsibilities
- Apply advanced descriptive and inferential statistical methods to explore data, evaluate hypotheses, and generate actionable insights
- Build, optimize, and interpret regression and classification models, including tree-based and ensemble techniques
- Develop robust data pipelines and analytic workflows using R or Python, supporting data ingestion, cleaning, feature engineering, and model deployment
- Create high-quality data visualizations, dashboards, and narratives to effectively communicate insights to technical and non-technical audiences
- Write and optimize SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, and validation across relational databases
- Implement analytics solutions within cloud environments such as Azure, Blob Storage, and SharePoint for scalable data processing and reporting
- Build and maintain reusable analytical assets and code libraries to streamline recurring analyses and support team capabilities
- Partner with product, operational, and technology teams in Agile development environments, applying MVP principles, user stories, and iterative feedback
- Engage with operational and client stakeholders to provide data-driven insights that enhance performance, quality, and client outcomes
- Communicate modeling approaches, assumptions, risks, and results clearly and credibly to diverse audiences
