About The Role
We are seeking a talented Software Engineer to join our team focused on enhancing Microsoft Teams, specifically in the area of large-scale event experiences within the product. This role offers a unique opportunity to work on both mobile and web components, contributing to the development of high-quality, reliable solutions for hybrid events that accommodate diverse audiences across multiple device types. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with product managers, designers, infrastructure teams, and partner teams to architect, develop, and deliver features aligned with our strategic goals. This position plays a vital role in shaping the future of virtual events, ensuring seamless user experiences, and maintaining the high standards of Microsoft’s collaboration tools. You will have the chance to impact global users and contribute to innovative solutions that support remote work and digital engagement worldwide.
Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, with 2+ years of relevant engineering experience or equivalent experience.
  • Proficiency in programming languages including C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python.
  • Ability to meet Microsoft, customer, and government security screening requirements, including passing the Microsoft Cloud background check.
  • Preferred: Master’s Degree in Computer Science or related field, with 2+ years of experience, or a Bachelor’s Degree with 4+ years of experience.
  • Proficiency in Swift, Objective-C, and familiarity with native iOS architecture, frameworks, and Xcode.
  • Experience with cross-organizational projects requiring collaboration and effective communication skills.
  • Experience developing impactful iOS features within the Apple ecosystem and contributing to large-scale mobile applications.
  • Knowledge of software development lifecycle and agile methodologies.
  • Experience in commercial product development with a focus on user experience design.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate closely with product managers and designers to architect, design, implement, and release new features in alignment with product goals and priorities.
  • Work with infrastructure and partner teams to design end-to-end architecture and APIs, ensuring seamless integration and performance.
  • Enhance product and feature quality by implementing robust testing and validation processes.
  • Contribute to a culture of technical excellence by continuously improving coding standards, development practices, and team collaboration.
  • Participate in code reviews, troubleshooting, and resolving technical issues to maintain high reliability and performance.
  • Stay updated with the latest industry trends, tools, and best practices to innovate and improve the development process.
  • Support cross-functional initiatives to deliver impactful solutions that meet user needs and business objectives.
