Role summary

Supio is seeking a founding Frontend Engineer to build the user interface for their new Compliance Platform. This role involves end-to-end ownership of a lightweight UI for managing reporting, contracts, data residency, and access. You will design and build authentication/authorization flows, translate complex audit data into actionable reports for executives and the privacy office, and collaborate with the backend engineer on APIs. The ideal candidate has 5+ years of frontend experience, a knack for permission-gated UX, and clarity in presenting complex data. Experience with internal tools, compliance/privacy domains, and full-stack capabilities are preferred.

About the role

Supio is standing up a new Compliance Platform team to protect the most sensitive data our customers entrust to us. The platform does its heaviest lifting behind the scenes, but it needs a clear, trustworthy face: the interface where compliance is actually managed. You will own that surface end to end — a lightweight, purposeful UI for reporting, BAA and contract management, data opt-in/opt-out, data residency, and access management — used by engineers, CSMs, DevOps, executives, and our privacy office. Small team, founding seat, real stakes.

What you'll do

  • Design and build the compliance platform's UI from scratch: reporting dashboards, BAA and contract management, opt-in/opt-out and data residency management
  • Build authentication and authorization flows so the right people — and only the right people — see sensitive reports and records
  • Turn dense audit and access data into reporting that executives and our privacy office can act on
  • Work directly with the founding backend engineer to shape the platform's APIs
  • Ship a lightweight v1 quickly, then iterate with internal users across engineering, customer success, and DevOps

What you'll bring

  • 5+ years of frontend engineering experience building production web applications
  • Experience building internal tools, admin surfaces, or data-heavy dashboards that people rely on daily
  • Strong instincts for permission-gated UX — roles, access states, and what each audience should and should not see
  • Care for clarity: you make complex data legible without dumbing it down
  • Comfort on a small, fast-moving team with real deadlines

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in compliance, privacy, security, or another trust-sensitive domain
  • Full-stack comfort — you can reach into the backend when the work calls for it.
  • Experience building reporting for executive audiences

Compensation

As an early-stage startup, we offer a competitive compensation package that includes base salary, meaningful equity, and benefits. Equity grants are designed to ensure employees share in the long-term success and upside of the company.
