Product Designer Lead, Mobile/Web [Unpaid/Early-Stage Startup]

About Synchronic:
Synchronic is a mobile app designed to make group scheduling simple. Instead of endless back-and-forth messages, users can quickly share availability and find the best time for everyone.

The product is already live on iOS and Android, and we are focused on improving the user experience and preparing for growth.

We’re looking for a
Design Lead
to help shape the product experience of Synchronic, a cross-platform mobile app that helps groups quickly find the best time to meet.

This role is for someone who enjoys thinking through user problems, structuring product flows, and translating ideas into clear interfaces. You will work closely with the product team and developers to turn user needs into intuitive designs.

You will also help guide and mentor our junior designer while setting the foundation for a scalable design system.

What You'll Do

• Lead the UX and product design direction for the Synchronic app

• Translate product ideas and user feedback into clear user flows and wireframes

• Design mobile-first interfaces for iOS and Android

• Build and maintain a scalable design system in Figma

• Collaborate closely with developers to ensure designs are implemented correctly

• Review designs and provide mentorship to the junior designer

• Help the team move from ideas → prototypes → shipped features quickly

• Continuously improve usability through user feedback and testing

What We're Looking For

• Experience with product UX and mobile app design

• Comfortable designing entire user flows, not just screens

• Experience with Figma

• Ability to explain why a design decision improves the user experience

• Experience working with developers in a product team

• Comfortable giving feedback and mentoring junior designers

• Self-driven and comfortable working with early-stage startups

• You are comfortable going places and talking to real people
