iOS Engineer - Real-Time Systems / Human-State Computing
Role summary
Synheart is seeking an iOS Engineer to build native applications for a new Human State Interface (HSI) computing paradigm. This role involves developing systems that understand and respond to human state in real-time, integrating with physiological and behavioral signals, HealthKit, CoreMotion, and wearables. You will design low-latency pipelines, work on background execution, data synchronization, and on-device processing, and create CarPlay/voice-first experiences. The ideal candidate has strong Swift and native iOS development skills, deep understanding of iOS system architecture, background tasks, concurrency, and performance optimization. Experience with sensor data, health data, or real-time systems is a plus.
About Synheart
We’re building a new computing paradigm:
Human State Interface (HSI)
— systems that understand and respond to human state in real time.
We’re working at the intersection of
AI, wearables, and real-time systems
, building products like
*Pulse Focus*
and
*The Mirror*
.
What You’ll Work On
- Build native iOS applications that interact with
human physiological and behavioral signals
- Integrate with
HealthKit, CoreMotion, and external wearable data (Whoop, Garmin, etc.)
- Design
low-latency pipelines
for processing and reacting to user state
- Work on
background execution, data synchronization, and on-device processing
- Build
CarPlay / voice-first experiences
for real-time awareness
- Collaborate closely with research, backend, and product teams on the Synheart runtime
What We’re Looking For
- Strong experience with
Swift and native iOS development
- Deep understanding of; iOS system architecture, Background tasks, concurrency, and performance optimization
- Experience with
sensor data, health data, or real-time systems
is a big plus
- Comfortable working close to the system (not just UI)
- Ability to think in
systems, not screens
Bonus
- Experience with HealthKit or wearable integrations
- Experience with on-device ML or signal processing
- Familiarity with CarPlay or voice-based interfaces
Why This Role
You’ll be working on a problem that’s still undefined:
How can systems understand human state in real time?
We care about
depth, not just features
.
