We are now looking for an experienced
Technical Project Manager
to lead the technical delivery of a new range of premium apple-based products across international markets.
This role is focused on transforming fresh apples into innovative value-added products, targeted primarily toward Asian markets. This role will take ownership of identifying and establishing the right manufacturing and supplier relationships to bring products successfully to market.
About The Role
This is a highly autonomous role suited to someone who thrives in fast-moving environments and can confidently drive projects forward with limited guidance.
You’ll take ownership of a portfolio of product concepts and work across multiple Asian markets to identify, assess, and manage suitable suppliers and manufacturing partners. The role requires strong technical capability, commercial awareness, and the ability to build trusted relationships both internally and externally.
Working as part of a cross-functional team, you’ll lead the technical aspects of product development including supplier selection, feasibility, food safety, quality assurance, production oversight, and ongoing supplier management.
There will also be opportunities for international travel to visit supplier sites and manufacturing facilities.
What We’re Looking For
We’re seeking someone with significant experience in:

• Food manufacturing environments
• High-care food safety operations
• New product development (NPD)
• Supplier and relationship management
• Technical project leadership

Experience within industries such as dairy, fresh produce, or FMCG manufacturing would be highly regarded.
The Ideal Person Will Be

• Self-motivated and capable of working independently
• Technically strong with excellent attention to detail
• Skilled at influencing and navigating across businesses
• Comfortable building relationships across suppliers, operations, marketing, and commercial teams
• Experienced in driving projects from concept through to first production

Key Responsibilities
Project Leadership

• Lead technical delivery across quality, food safety, and product development streams
• Coordinate communication across internal stakeholders and project teams
• Establish project milestones and delivery frameworks

Supplier Assessment & Management

• Identify and assess suppliers across international markets
• Conduct technical audits and capability reviews
• Evaluate food safety, certifications, production capacity, and logistics capability
• Build strong supplier relationships and recommend preferred partners

Product Feasibility & Delivery

• Develop product specifications and testing processes
• Conduct shelf-life and quality assessments
• Support costing and commercial feasibility analysis
• Oversee first production runs and establish quality standards

Ongoing Supplier Governance

• Create supplier performance frameworks and audit processes
• Monitor supplier compliance and continuous improvement
• Develop reporting structures to maintain long-term visibility and accountability
