
Automation Test Engineer

Job Description
We are looking for a skilled Automation Test Engineer with 1-3 years of experience to design, develop, and execute automated test suites for web applications. The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience with Selenium or Playwright, a solid understanding of QA processes, and the ability to collaborate across teams to ensure high-quality software releases.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts for web applications using Selenium or Playwright
- Work closely with QA and development teams to identify testing requirements and contribute to detailed test plans
- Perform manual testing when required to ensure complete coverage of functional and regression scenarios
- Debug test failures, analyze root causes, and report defects with clear and detailed documentation
- Track, verify, and follow up on bug fixes to ensure timely resolution
- Ensure the performance, reliability, and scalability of automation test frameworks
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams—including developers, product managers, and DevOps—to deliver high-quality product releases
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of testing processes and best practices
Required Skills
- Automation Tools: Selenium, Playwright
- Version Control: Git
- Testing: Manual testing, regression testing, functional testing
- Strong understanding of software testing lifecycle (STLC) and defect lifecycle
- Ability to write clean, maintainable, and reusable test automation code
- Good analytical and debugging skills
- Strong communication and documentation abilities
Nice to Have (Optional)
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines
- Knowledge of basic scripting (Python, JavaScript, or similar)
- Familiarity with API testing tools (Postman, REST Assured, etc.)
