Role summary
We are seeking a skilled Cloud Engineer with a strong focus on security to join our team. This role involves leading the implementation and enforcement of security controls within cloud and DevSecOps environments (AWS, GCP, Azure), designing secure cloud-native architectures, and leading detection engineering efforts. You will leverage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) with Terraform and programming languages like Go and Python for automation. Proficiency in test automation tools such as Selenium, Postman, and Cucumber is essential. The ideal candidate will possess strong software engineering fundamentals, a quality-first mindset, and the ability to mentor junior engineers while providing technical leadership.
Job Description
Must Have Technical/Functional Skills
- Lead implementation and enforcement of security controls within cloud and DevSecOps environments (AWS, GCP, Azure).
- Design and operate cloud‑native security architectures aligned to enterprise security programs.
- Lead detection engineering efforts, including detection‑as‑code and rule lifecycle management.
- Apply software testing methodologies to security controls and pipelines.
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Strong expertise in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) with Terraform, including modular design, standards, and repeatable deployments.
- Proficient in Go and/or Python for cloud automation, tooling, and service integration.
- Skilled in test automation and validation using tools such as Selenium, Postman, and Cucumber, with a quality-first mindset.
- Ability to produce clear UML diagrams and service design artifacts to support engineering and operational readiness.
- Strong software engineering fundamentals; experience designing reliable, maintainable, and secure solutions.
- Demonstrated ability to balance delivery speed with maintainability, security, and operational excellence.
- Proven troubleshooting capability for production, time-sensitive incidents, with an ownership (“build it and own it”) approach
Salary Range: $100,000 to $120,000 per year
