Job Profile Summary: The Senior Product Owner (Technical) will collaborate with other Product Owners, Technology, Lines of Business, Risk, Operations, Business Controls, and other key partners to define and drive requirements for an AI Agent chatbot serving customers in production. This role requires expertise in leading technical agile scrum teams to deliver AI-powered conversational solutions. The Senior Product Owner will drive deliverables of a squad of engineers using a modern tech stack including AWS Connect, Lambda, ECS, and more. Hands-on experience deploying AI chatbot or agent solutions to production is required.

General Function: Responsible for defining, prioritizing, and managing the development and production deployment of an AI Agent chatbot for customer servicing. Will support the implementation of the product roadmap, capabilities, and adoption, leading a robust prioritization process to maximize value, risk mitigation, and business benefits. Advocates for Agile methodologies and ensures team backlog alignment with customer and stakeholder needs.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Motivate engineering teams to deliver on strategy and roadmap for the AI Agent chatbot, from development through production deployment.
  • Partner with business functions, IT, Risk, Business Controls & Operations, and other key partners to define and execute the AI chatbot product strategy.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Lines of Business, Operations, Legal, Compliance, Information Security, Fraud, Architecture, and related functions to support chatbot delivery.
  • Provide transparency and ongoing communications with stakeholders on chatbot development progress and production performance.
  • Make decisions to drive key outcomes in support of regulatory and compliance needs, new revenue growth, process optimization, and analytics related to the AI chatbot.
  • Be involved with all phases of development (analysis, design, coding, testing, deployment) of the AI Agent chatbot.
  • Solve problems and make decisions with engineering and subject matter experts to drive the best outcomes for the chatbot and the customer experience.
  • Engage with research teams for customer usability testing and validation of chatbot interactions.
  • Partner with third-party AI and platform vendors to manage product releases, remediate defects/outages, and ensure seamless chatbot experiences.
  • Maintain product documentation, training materials, and knowledge bases specific to the AI chatbot.
  • Support a Agile mindset across product teams, maintaining a healthy backlog and participating in team ceremonies.
  • Evangelize chatbot capabilities and roadmap to internal groups.

Supervisory Responsibilities: None.

Minimum Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent education and work experience.
  • 4+ years of related product management experience.
  • Product management background required; ability to interact and influence within the organization.
  • Experience building and deploying AI chatbot or agent systems to production required.
  • Familiarity with AWS services (Connect, Lambda, ECS) and AI/ML platforms preferred.
  • Ability to consult and articulate key messages to all levels within the organization.
  • Basic business acumen and understanding of business processes related to products and customers.
  • Experience working in Agile or SAFe development required.
  • Ability to promote a work environment that fosters creative thinking and innovation.
  • Collaborative with strong intellectual curiosity and creative problem-solving.
  • Good analytical skills with ability to present well-thought-out, simple solutions.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently and with engineering teams in a fast-paced environment.
