Role: Software Engineer III

Location: Birmingham, AL- Charlotte, NC- Atlanta, Georgia (hybrid- onsite 3 days per week)

Duration: 6- month contract to hire

Our client needs a Software Engineer who is responsible for the development, maintenance, and enhancement of enterprise applications. This role plays a critical part in ensuring system reliability, performance, and scalability while delivering high-quality mobile solutions.

We are seeking a Mobile Software Engineer with deep expertise in native mobile development—either iOS (Swift/SwiftUI) or Android (Kotlin/Jetpack Compose). This role requires true native development experience; candidates with a primary background in cross-platform frameworks (e.g., React Native, Flutter) will not be considered.

Primary Responsibilities

• Oversee development and installation of new software solutions
• Design, develop, and deploy native mobile applications and enhancements
• Install, configure, and maintain systems and software components
• Test applications to detect and resolve defects or malfunctions
• Identify and troubleshoot business system issues
• Monitor system performance and ensure applications run efficiently
• Measure effectiveness and efficiency of existing systems
• Develop and implement strategies for system improvements
• Create documentation, reports, and technical findings
• Maintain ownership of assigned processes and deliverables
• Act as a subject matter or procedural expert when needed
• Provide guidance and may lead the work of junior-level associates

Required Skills:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field
• Minimum of 4+ years of professional experience in software development
• Proven experience in native mobile development:
• iOS: Swift, SwiftUI
• OR Android: Kotlin, Jetpack Compose
