Teleskope is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to join their high-growth data security startup. This role involves building core platform features, working with product and leadership, and debugging complex systems. The ideal candidate has 10+ years of experience, strong backend (preferably Golang) and frontend (TypeScript/React) skills, expertise in relational databases and SQL, and experience scaling in cloud infrastructure and code. The position requires being based in NYC for a hybrid work model (in-office Tue/Wed/Thu) and offers a competitive salary and benefits.

About The Role
We are seeking a highly motivated, experienced
Staff Software Engineer
to join our team. In this role, you will join a high-performing team of engineers and contribute to the development of core Teleskope products and features.
What You’ll Do

  • Build end-to-end, user-facing features that power the Teleskope platform
  • Work closely with product designers and company leadership to translate business requirements and designs into functional code
  • Troubleshoot and debug complex systems at scale

About You

  • 10+ years of experience as an engineer
  • Strong ability to positively influence engineering culture and mentor junior engineers
  • Solid back-end development skills, preferably in Golang
  • Skilled at front-end development in TypeScript / React
  • Well-versed in relational databases, SQL, and schema design
  • Experienced scaling in both cloud infrastructure and code
  • Must be based in NYC (we work hybrid, in-office Tue/Wed/Thu)

Compensation Range: $200K - $230K
