Role summary
Teneo is seeking a paid intern for its Washington, DC office for the Fall Semester. Ideal candidates are rising seniors or graduate students with coursework in politics, economics, or related fields, a strong understanding of the US political landscape, and prior internship experience in public affairs or communications. Proficiency in policy tools like LegiStorm and strong research and writing skills are essential. The position is hybrid, requiring a minimum of 4 days per week in the DC office.

Job Description:
Teneo is seeking a paid intern for its Washington, DC office for the fall semester. The intern will work closely with the DC-based members of Teneo’s Strategy & Communications business to support the creation and execution of GA/PA approaches to achieve clients’ strategic goals.

Required Skills:
The strongest candidates typically have one or two semesters of experience in government, legislative offices, political campaigns or public affairs firms. They are proficient in policy-focused tools such as LegiStorm, OpenSecrets, PoliticoPro; have familiarity with media monitoring; and have a proven track record of producing briefing memos or research on behalf of corporate clients.

Pay Range: $23/hour
Flexible Work Policy:
Teneo believes in in-person collaboration when possible and if you are assigned to the Washington DC office, the company expectation is for employees to work from the office location a minimum of 4 days a week.
