Role summary

The Ash Group is seeking a Data Analyst for a 12-month contract role with a major electricity and natural gas utility provider in Denver, CO. This hybrid position focuses on wildfire mitigation and GIS quality assurance. The analyst will update field device communications, reconcile geospatial data, collaborate with stakeholders and vendors, and participate in testing activities. The role requires 3-5 years of GIS experience and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including SharePoint. Experience with integrated GIS software and version-based editing is also necessary. A degree in GIS, Geography, or Environmental Science is preferred.

offering a pay rate of
$35
per hour W2 based on skill set.

Role Details

- Compensation:
$35/hr W2

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Focusing on wildfire mitigation and GIS quality assurance.
  • Update communications state on field devices, validate and reconcile communications/geospatial data, collaborate with internal stakeholders and vendors, and participate in ADMS/OMS/wildfire test activities.
  • Responsible for coordination with external vendors for integrations/testing.

What We’re Looking For

  • Must have 3–5 years of GIS experience (utility/critical infrastructure preferred but not required).
  • Ability to speak competently about engineering diagrams (e.g., substation one-line and feeder diagrams).
  • Fluency in Microsoft Office (including SharePoint).
  • Experience with integrated GIS software where GIS data feeds other systems relied on by other teams.
  • Experience with version-based GIS editing (aka versioning / change sets),
  • Degree in GIS (or Geography/Environmental Science) preferred.
