Role summary

The Ash Group is seeking a Platform Engineer for a 12-month contract role in Denver, CO, with a hybrid work model (onsite 1 day/week). Platform Engineer
for our client, a major electricity and natural gas utility provider. This is a 12-month contract working in Denver, CO (Onsite 1 day/week) offering a pay rate of
$61
per hour based on skillset.

Role Details

  • Compensation: $61 per hour.
  • Benefits: Medical, dental, vision, and direct primary care benefits. After six months of employment, enjoy a 4% matched 401(k) plan with immediate 100% vesting.
  • Duration: 12-month contract.
  • Location: Denver, CO (Onsite 1 day/week)

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Supports development of an internal granular load forecasting platform, focused on forecasting electrical load at a highly granular (feeder/circuit) level.
  • Build and maintain data pipelines within Databricks, integrate forecast inputs from multiple internal teams, and ensure data flows reliably into the forecasting platform.
  • Deliverables include ETL pipelines, Databricks workflows, ingestion processes, and support for data cleanup and standardization.
  • Coordinating with analysts, data scientists, IT, and non-technical teams
  • Translating data needs into technical pipelines
  • Supporting ingestion of non-standard data sources

What We’re Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering is required
  • Minimum of 3+ years of strong and recent Databricks experience is a must
  • Building ETL pipelines and workflows
  • Python and SQL experience is required
  • Experience integrating data from multiple teams/sources
  • Energy or utility industry experience is strongly preferred but not required.
