Role summary
The Ash Group is seeking a Platform Engineer for a 12-month contract role in Denver, CO, with a hybrid work model (onsite 1 day/week). Platform Engineer
for our client, a major electricity and natural gas utility provider. This is a 12-month contract working in Denver, CO (Onsite 1 day/week) offering a pay rate of
$61
per hour based on skillset.
Role Details
- Compensation: $61 per hour.

What You’ll Be Doing
- Supports development of an internal granular load forecasting platform, focused on forecasting electrical load at a highly granular (feeder/circuit) level.
- Build and maintain data pipelines within Databricks, integrate forecast inputs from multiple internal teams, and ensure data flows reliably into the forecasting platform.
- Deliverables include ETL pipelines, Databricks workflows, ingestion processes, and support for data cleanup and standardization.
- Coordinating with analysts, data scientists, IT, and non-technical teams
- Translating data needs into technical pipelines
- Supporting ingestion of non-standard data sources
What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering is required
- Minimum of 3+ years of strong and recent Databricks experience is a must
- Building ETL pipelines and workflows
- Python and SQL experience is required
- Experience integrating data from multiple teams/sources
- Energy or utility industry experience is strongly preferred but not required.
