Role summary

This is a 100% remote, full-time position for a Senior DevOps Engineer with over 10 years of experience. The role requires strong hands-on experience with Backstage and proficiency in React, TypeScript, and Python. Key responsibilities include driving the end-to-end delivery of IDP platform capabilities, leading engineering efforts for Backstage/Harness-based architectures, and providing technical leadership to engineering teams. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of cloud-native architectures, APIs, microservices, CI/CD, and DevSecOps practices, with a preference for Harness experience. The role emphasizes translating strategy into execution and enabling self-service developer workflows to improve productivity.

Required Skills & Experience

Strong hands-on experience with:

Backstage (IDP frameworks)

Harness (highly preferred)

Proficiency in React / TypeScript and Python

Strong knowledge of:

Cloud-native architectures

APIs and microservices

CI/CD and DevSecOps practices

Experience leading platform engineering teams

Ability to translate strategy into execution and measurable outcomes

Key Responsibilities

- Drive
end-to-end delivery
of IDP platform capabilities (design → build → deploy → support)
- Lead engineering efforts across
Backstage/Harness-based platform architecture
- Provide technical leadership to
onshore/offshore (GCC) engineering teams
- Partner with
Product Owner, Architects, and KP stakeholders
- Ensure alignment with
developer experience and platform strategy
- Enable adoption of
self-service, cloud-native developer workflows
- Deliver measurable improvements in
developer productivity and platform utilization
