Machine Learning Engineer - Video Generation & Systems
Role summary
ThinkFlix is seeking a Founding AI / Machine Learning Engineer to own the end-to-end AI system for video generation. This role involves designing and developing video generation models, optimizing inference, orchestrating pipelines, and building automation systems. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in machine learning and backend systems, with hands-on experience in generative models or production AI systems. Proficiency in Python and PyTorch is required. This is a remote, full-time position offering high autonomy and a ground-floor opportunity within a growing edutainment platform.

Role Overview
As a Founding AI / Machine Learning Engineer, you will own the end-to-end AI system powering ThinkFlix.
This includes:
- video generation models
- inference optimization
- pipeline orchestration
- automation systems
You will work across model development + systems engineering, ensuring we can generate high-quality videos quickly, reliably, and at scale
Responsibilities
- Design and develop video generation systems:text → structured scenes → video output
- Work with / improve:diffusion models, transformer-based pipelines, multi-modal systems
- Build and optimize end-to-end pipelines:input ingestion → processing → generation → delivery
- Optimize: inference latency, GPU utilization and cost
- Develop systems for:prompt orchestration, model chaining, automated content generation
- Ensure temporal consistency, video quality, system reliability
- Build infrastructure for: batch processing. asynchronous jobs, scaling workloads
- Continuously integrate and adapt state-of-the-art AI research
Qualifications
- Strong experience in machine learning and backend systems
- Hands-on experience with: generative models (diffusion, transformers, etc.) OR production AI systems and pipelines
- Proficiency in Python, PyTorch (or similar frameworks)
- Experience building and deploying ML systems in real-world environments
- Strong understanding of system design and performance optimization
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with:
- video or image generation systems
- text-to-video or multi-modal models
- Familiarity with:
- GPU optimization and inference tuning
- distributed systems or async pipelines
- Experience with:
- LLM orchestration
- automation frameworks
- Contributions to open-source or personal AI projects
