Key Responsibilities:
1. Adaptiv Platform Support & Operations:
- Develop expertise in the Adaptiv platform, including architecture, configurations, batch processing, and integrations
- Monitor production workflows, batch jobs, and system health
- Troubleshoot and resolve job failures, data issues, and performance bottlenecks
- Support critical processes such as month-end, stress testing, and regulatory runs
- Participate in on-call support rotation as needed
2. Platform Engineering & Maintenance:
- Maintain and configure Adaptiv components to meet evolving business and regulatory requirements
- Perform upgrades, patching, and environment maintenance
- Improve system:
- Stability and reliability
- Observability and monitoring
- Error handling and recovery mechanisms
- Automate manual processes and enhance operational tooling
3. Incident & Problem Management:
- Act as a technical responder for production incidents
- Collaborate with vendors and internal teams to resolve complex issues
- Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) and implement preventive solutions
- Contribute to incident reviews and continuous improvement initiatives
4. Collaboration & Domain Knowledge:
- Partner with:
- Market Risk and Credit Risk teams
- Quantitative and analytics groups
- Data and infrastructure teams
- Build understanding of:
- Market risk concepts (e.g., VaR, sensitivities, stress testing)
- Downstream data consumption and reporting flows
- Translate business requirements into technical solutions
5. Documentation & Knowledge Sharing:
- Maintain detailed technical documentation, including:
- Platform workflows and configurations
- Common issues and resolution steps
- Operational runbooks
- Promote knowledge sharing to reduce single points of failure
Required Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience in platform engineering, production support, or systems engineering
- Strong experience with
batch processing systems
in production environments
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Hands-on experience with:
- Linux/Unix systems
- Scripting (Python, Shell)
- Relational databases (SQL)
- Ability to work in regulated, high-control environments
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Adaptiv or similar market risk platforms
- Background in financial services, capital markets, or risk technology
- Familiarity with:
- Job scheduling tools
- Cloud platforms and data services
- Monitoring and observability tools
- Exposure to market risk concepts (training will be provided if needed)
