Role summary

The role offers flexibility up to 20 hours/week with an hourly rate starting at $30.00.
TLC Consulting Services is hiring a Part-Time MHSS Program Manager to support Mental Health Skill Building (MHSS) services across Richmond and surrounding areas. You will provide program oversight, staff coaching, documentation QA, and field-based operational support to ensure consistent, compliant, high-quality community-based care.
Responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day MHSS program operations (coverage, workflow coordination, service continuity).
- Coach and support QMHP-A / QPPMH staff delivering MHSS services in-home/in-community (engagement strategies, skill-building interventions, barrier resolution).
- Conduct documentation QA in the EHR for accuracy, completeness, and timeliness; provide coaching/corrective feedback to prevent compliance and billing issues.
- Support onboarding and training for new staff (workflows, documentation standards, field expectations, safety basics).
- Monitor performance indicators (note timeliness, coverage gaps, productivity trends) and escalate issues as needed.
- Coordinate with community partners/referral sources to support continuity of care and resource linkage.
- Assist with field escalations related to attendance barriers, engagement challenges, and safety concerns.
Requirements
- LMHP-E or LMHP (Virginia)
- Experience in community-based behavioral health (MHSS strongly preferred)
- Strong documentation/QA skills and ability to coach staff to quality standards
- Comfortable supporting a field-based team and problem-solving in real time
- Reliable transportation for local travel (Richmond area)
Preferred
- Prior leadership experience (program coordination, supervision, team lead)
- Experience improving documentation timeliness and service consistency
- Familiarity with MHSS workflows, skill-building frameworks, and community resource linkage
- Crisis de-escalation experience for field escalations
