Senior Software Engineer - Vehicle Diagnostics
Role summary
Torc is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for their Health and Diagnostics Team to develop critical software for autonomous vehicle platforms. This role involves designing, implementing, and maintaining diagnostic software and communication stacks using automotive protocols like UDS, SOVD, CAN, and DoIP. You will work with service-oriented architectures (SOME/IP), support integration and debugging on benches and test vehicles, and collaborate with cloud/edge systems for remote diagnostics. The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's degree with 5-7+ years of experience or a Master's with 3-5+ years, proven C++ expertise, and experience in automotive embedded or diagnostics software development. Familiarity with automotive cybersecurity and communication stacks is essential.

Meet the Team
The Health and Diagnostics Team at Torc is responsible for developing critical diagnostics software that ensures the safety, serviceability, and performance of our autonomous vehicle platforms. As a member of this team, you’ll work on next-generation automotive diagnostic solutions that interface with electronic control units (ECUs), enabling both in-vehicle and remote fault detection, data logging, and recovery strategies.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several geographic markets. Pay is based on a number of factors and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Torc's total compensation package will also include our corporate bonus and stock option plan.
