About Us

Transit & Flow is a growing home services company based in Columbus, Ohio, and we are just getting started. We are building a technology-driven brand in the plumbing, drain, and sewer space with plans to expand into HVAC, electrical, and beyond. Think of us as a startup with the ambition of an enterprise. We move fast, we invest in the right tools, and we build things the right way from day one.

We believe the brands that win in the trades industry over the next decade will be the ones that invest in digital, automation, and customer experience early. That is exactly what we are doing, and we are looking for the right person to help us get there.

The Opportunity

This is a chance to get in early with a brand that is actively growing and has real momentum. You will have direct access to leadership, real ownership over meaningful projects, and the ability to see your work make an immediate impact on the business.

This role is part-time to start, with a clear and intentional path to a full-time permanent position as the company grows. We are also open to internship candidates who are eager to build their portfolio and gain hands-on experience in a fast-moving, tech-forward environment.

If you are someone who loves building things, takes pride in clean and effective digital work, and wants to grow alongside a company rather than just clock in at one, this role was written for you.

What You Will Work On

You will support the growth of Transit & Flow’s digital presence across several areas. No two weeks will look exactly the same, and you will have the opportunity to contribute across web, content, SEO, marketing technology, and real-world brand storytelling in the field.

Website and Brand

∙ Help maintain and improve our WordPress website using Elementor Pro, keeping everything looking sharp, on-brand, and performing well

∙ Assist with brand audits to make sure our digital presence is consistent and professional across every channel

∙ Build out new pages and landing pages as we launch new services and campaigns

Content and SEO

∙ Create new website content, service pages, and blog posts that help Transit & Flow rank higher in Google for plumbing and home services searches in Columbus and surrounding communities

∙ Develop location-based service pages targeting areas like Dublin, Westerville, Hilliard, Grove City, Gahanna, Pickerington, Worthington, New Albany, and more

∙ Use tools like RankMath and Google Search Console to track performance and identify new keyword opportunities

∙ Help optimize our content for AI-driven search platforms like Google AI Overviews, ChatGPT, and Perplexity, which are becoming increasingly important for local discovery

*Field Content Capture*

∙ Occasionally ride along with our service technicians in the field to capture authentic photo and video content from real job sites

∙ Photograph before and after project results, team members at work, and behind-the-scenes moments that bring the Transit & Flow brand to life

∙ Capture short-form video clips for use across the website, Google Business Profile, and social media channels

∙ Work with leadership to plan field content shoots around active jobs and service calls to maximize content output without disrupting operations

∙ Help edit and organize raw field content for use across digital channels, or coordinate with editing tools and AI video platforms to produce polished final assets

Google Business Profile

∙ Support the management and optimization of our Google Business Profile to improve our visibility in local search results and Google Maps, including uploading fresh field photos and job-site content on a consistent basis

Analytics

∙ Help track website performance through Google Analytics 4 and contribute to monthly reporting on what is working and where we can improve

Automations and Integrations

∙ Assist in building and maintaining workflow automations using tools like n8n and GoHighLevel that connect our marketing and CRM systems

∙ Help integrate lead capture forms and web tools into our CRM platforms including FieldPulse

Bonus

∙ If you have experience creating AI-generated brand videos using tools like HeyGen, Runway, or Synthesia, we would love to see that work too

What We Are Looking For

We care more about what you have actually built than where you went to school or what your job title was. Here is what will set you up for success in this role:

∙ At least 3 years of experience working with WordPress and Elementor, or a strong portfolio that demonstrates the same level of proficiency

∙ Familiarity with SEO fundamentals including on-page optimization, keyword research, local SEO, and schema markup

∙ Some experience with Google Search Console, Google Analytics 4, and Google Business Profile

∙ Exposure to workflow automation tools such as GoHighLevel, n8n, Zapier, or Make

∙ Basic knowledge of HTML and CSS

∙ Comfort in the field alongside service technicians, with the ability to capture professional-quality photos and video using a smartphone or camera

∙ A good eye for design, brand consistency, and authentic visual storytelling

∙ Strong communication skills and the ability to manage your own time and priorities

∙ Familiarity with CRM platforms like FieldPulse, HCP, ServiceTitan is a plus but not required

Internship candidates are encouraged to apply even if you do not yet meet all of the above. What matters most is your curiosity, your work ethic, and the quality of what you have created.

*A Note on Field Work*

This role includes occasional on-site visits with our technician team to capture real content from real jobs. You do not need a trades background. You just need to be comfortable in a professional work environment, respectful of our team and our customers, and capable of capturing compelling visual content that tells the Transit & Flow story authentically. This is one of the most exciting parts of the role and a direct opportunity to shape how our brand looks and feels to the world.

Portfolio Requirement

Please include examples of your work with your application. This can be websites you have built, pages you have designed, SEO projects you contributed to, automations you helped set up, field or brand photography you have captured, or any other relevant work samples. Links are preferred but attachments are accepted.

Familiarity with WooCommerce or other WordPress e-commerce platforms is a plus, including basic product setup, payment gateway configuration, and order management

Applications submitted without any portfolio examples or work samples will not be reviewed.
