Role summary

TRIBUS Group is seeking a Product Owner to join their technology team, focusing on the real estate industry. This role involves co-owning the product lifecycle from discovery to delivery, including requirements gathering, backlog management, and release coordination. The ideal candidate will have 4+ years of experience, a strong understanding of Agile/Scrum, and the ability to write clear user stories and acceptance criteria. Key responsibilities include triaging bugs, prioritizing work based on business value, communicating with stakeholders, and leveraging AI tools to optimize workflows. Experience in SMB SaaS environments and a preference for candidates in Denver, CO, are noted. This is a full-time, hybrid role with a salary range of $75,000-$100,000.

About TRIBUS Group

TRIBUS Group has been building technology products for the real estate industry for over 15 years. Our platform powers core workflows for over 450,000 real estate professionals, and we're in an active growth phase with major initiatives shipping in 2026. We're a small, high-output team where every person's contribution is visible and meaningful.

About the Role

We're hiring a Product Owner to join a tight-knit product team responsible for both discovery and delivery of our platform. You'll work alongside our VP of Product, a fellow Product Owner, UX Director, and a talented engineering team to take work from intake through release.

This is a generalist product ownership role. On any given day you might be grooming cards with engineering, triaging a production issue with Support, running sprint planning, coordinating a release, or shaping requirements for a new feature. We need someone who can context-switch cleanly, stay calm when things get noisy, and bring structure to ambiguity without overcomplicating things.

A Note on Growth and Expectations

Our product team culture is built around helping you grow your skills to the next level. The VP of Product is invested in your development and will actively coach, challenge, and support you. That said, we have high expectations for demonstrated experience coming in. We can teach you the business, the product, and the domain. We cannot teach you the fundamentals of product ownership. You should already know how to run a sprint, write a story, triage a bug, and hold your own in a room full of competing priorities and personalities. If you have that foundation, we'll help you sharpen it into something exceptional.

What You'll Do

  • Co-own the lifecycle of product work from discovery through delivery, including requirements gathering, story writing, backlog grooming, sprint planning, and release coordination.
  • Triage incoming bugs, client requests, and enhancement ideas with disciplined intake practices, ensuring every item has clear context, impact assessment, and a proposed path forward.
  • Partner with engineering during refinement and estimation to validate feasibility, surface risks, and maintain sprint stability.
  • Sequence and prioritize work within sprints based on business value, urgency, capacity, and dependency constraints.
  • Coordinate QA and UAT expectations, confirm acceptance criteria are testable, and ensure work meets our Definition of Done before release.
  • Communicate delivery status, risks, and tradeoffs to stakeholders clearly and consistently.
  • Collaborate closely with UX during discovery and through release to ensure customer-facing work meets experience standards.
  • Work directly with business stakeholders across CX, Product Marketing, Sales, and other teams to gather context, align on needs, and ensure product decisions reflect real-world business and customer priorities.
  • Close feedback loops on shipped work by tracking outcomes, not just output.

What We're Looking For

  • 4+ years of experience in a Product Owner or Product Manager role.
  • Demonstrated ability to write clear user stories and acceptance criteria that engineering can build against without guesswork.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess trade-offs, evaluate severity and impact, and make sound prioritization recommendations backed by evidence.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. You can translate stakeholder needs into structured requirements and keep a room aligned when priorities compete. Just as importantly, you're the kind of person people feel comfortable coming to with questions, concerns, or half-formed ideas. You create an environment where folks speak up early rather than letting problems fester.
  • Composure under pressure. You stay organized, constructive, and solutions-oriented when timelines are tight, stakeholders are vocal, and things don't go as planned.
  • Experience working in agile/scrum environments with real sprint discipline (not just ceremonies for ceremony's sake).
  • Experience with Jira or similar project management and backlog tools.
  • Demonstrated experience using AI tools to augment and optimize your workflows. We're looking for someone who uses AI as a force multiplier for research, analysis, writing, and problem-solving, not as a replacement for thinking. You should have real examples of how AI makes you faster and sharper at your job, while still owning the judgment, quality, and outcomes yourself.
  • Experience in a SMB SaaS environment where priorities can shift but the roadmap still means something. You know how to stay flexible when the situation calls for it, hold the line when it matters, and make the judgment call to break from process when doing the right thing or getting things done requires it.
  • Comfort working in smaller teams where you wear multiple hats and own outcomes end to end.

Nice to Have

  • Experience in real estate technology, MLS platforms, or PropTech.
  • Experience partnering with UX/design teams during discovery and validating designs before development.
  • Background in multi-tenant or platform SaaS products.

Location and Work Environment

This role is based in Denver, CO and we very strongly prefer candidates who can work from our office. That said, we may be open to remote arrangements for the right person. If you're an exceptional fit but not Denver-based, we still want to hear from you.

Why TRIBUS Group

You'll join a product team that values clarity over politics, outcomes over activity, and collaboration over hierarchy. We're building meaningful technology for an industry going through real transformation, and we're doing it with a team small enough that your judgment and effort shape the product directly.
