Role summary

True Anomaly is seeking a detail-oriented Software QA Engineer, ideal for someone early in their QA career, to ensure product quality within the software lifecycle. This role involves executing manual and automated test cases, documenting defects in Jira, and collaborating with development teams in an Agile environment. Responsibilities include maintaining test repositories, assisting with automation tooling like Playwright, and contributing to QA standards.   • Execute manual and automated test cases against a full stack software
  • Document and report software defects within the software lifecycle in Jira
  • Participate in an agile team sprint planning/stand ups
  • Collaborate with developers and product teams to clarify requirements and reproduce issues
  • Assist in maintaining a growing test repository of manual and automated scripts within Playwright framework
  • Continuous contribution to QA standards and testing processes

  • Basic understanding of coding languages (preferred java script)
  • Bachelors degree in computer science or related field/equivalent education
  • 0-2 years experience in software qa/testing (internships included)
  • General understanding of software development lifecycle, testing methodologies and Agile processes
  • Strong attention to detail and problem solving
  • Strong communication skills
  • Familiarity with Jira ticketing and Git
  • U.S. Citizen and eligible for DoD Secret or TS/SCI clearance
  • Exposure to automation tooling (playwright/cypress/selenium)
  • Experience with API tooling
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (github actions/ jenkins, etc.)
  • Motivated to learn and grow within QA industry
