Senior Payloads Engineer, Systems
Role summary
True Anomaly is seeking a Senior Payloads Systems Engineer to act as the primary technical and programmatic interface between the Payloads engineering team and the Program Office. This role involves owning requirements decomposition, driving ICD development, leading trade studies, and representing the Payloads team in engineering forums. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering field, 5+ years of experience in systems or payload engineering, and demonstrated experience with requirements management and ICDs. Strong communication skills and the ability to engage credibly with engineers across various disciplines are essential. Experience with MBSE tools, requirements management tools, and agile methodologies is preferred. The position requires the ability to obtain a TS//SCI clearance and involves a hybrid work environment with a strong emphasis on onsite work.

True Anomaly is seeking a talented and organized Senior Payloads Systems Engineer to serve as the primary technical and programmatic interface between the Payloads engineering team and the Program Office. You will be the connective tissue that keeps the team aligned, on schedule, and delivering against customer and program requirements. You will own requirements decomposition and flow-down, drive ICD development, lead technical and programmatic trade studies, and represent Payloads team interests in wider engineering forums. You are equally comfortable parsing a customer specification and facilitating a sprint planning session — and you bring the technical credibility to earn the trust of both engineers and program managers. This is a high-visibility role that directly shapes how the Payloads team executes and grows.
