Job Descriptions:
- In this contingent resource assignment, you may: Consult on complex initiatives with broad impact and large-scale planning for Software Engineering.
- Review and analyze complex multi-faceted, larger scale or longer-term Software Engineering challenges that require in-depth evaluation of multiple factors including intangibles or unprecedented factors.
- Contribute to the resolution of complex and multi-faceted situations requiring solid understanding of the function, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements that meet deliverables.
- Strategically collaborate and consult with client personnel.
Required Qualifications:
GCP Architecture & Platform Engineering
- Hands‑on expertise in designing foundational GCP components including VPC architecture, Private Service Connect, load balancing, interconnect/VPN, Cloud IAM, KMS, networking security, logging/monitoring, and multi‑zone/multi‑region topologies.
Terraform / Infrastructure‑as‑Code (IaC)
- Advanced proficiency in authoring, modularizing, and maintaining Terraform (TFE/Terraform Cloud) modules for GCP infrastructure—ensuring idempotent, version‑controlled, automated deployments aligned to enterprise standards.
Modern Data & Analytics Platform Design
- Experience with BigQuery, Dataproc, Pub/Sub, Dataflow, GCS, Dataplex, BigLake/Iceberg, and integration patterns for hybrid/on‑prem data sources.
Security, Governance & Compliance Controls
- Ability to design secure-by-default environments, enforce IAM least privilege, integrate with enterprise security tools (DLP, tokenization, service perimeters), and embed governance policies into IaC patterns.
Resiliency, Observability & Cost Optimization
- Designs aligned to SRE principles (SLIs/SLOs), DR/BCP, monitoring/alerting, and cost governance; ensures infrastructure reliability and long‑term operational efficiency.
Migration & Integration Patterns
- Familiarity with migrating on‑prem workloads (Teradata, Hadoop, SQL Server, Oracle) to GCP using standardized ingestion, transformation, and validation patterns.
Architecture Documentation & Leadership Alignment
- Produces HLD/LLD documentation, reference architectures, design decisions, IaC patterns, and facilitates design reviews with Enterprise Architecture, InfoSec, and platform engineering teams.
