Role summary
A Revenue Cycle Data Analyst is responsible for analyzing and improving revenue cycle processes within healthcare organizations. This role is critical to financial health, involving the management, monitoring, and analysis of revenue cycles. Key responsibilities include analyzing revenue sources, identifying discrepancies, ensuring accurate billing and collections, and collaborating with finance departments to optimize processes and increase revenue. The analyst will create and maintain performance reports, present findings, and suggest improvements, while also ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations.

A Revenue Cycle Data Analyst is responsible for analyzing and improving revenue cycle processes. A Revenue Cycle Data Analyst plays a crucial role in the financial health of healthcare organizations by managing, monitoring, and analyzing the revenue cycle.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Analyze incoming and outgoing revenue sources, identifying discrepancies, and ensuring accurate billing and collections.
- Collaborate with finance departments and healthcare providers to optimize revenue cycle processes and implement strategies to increase revenue.
- Create and maintain reports on revenue cycle performance, presenting findings to management, and suggest improvements.
- Create ad hoc reports on request and working closely with leadership to prepare weekly and monthly reports.
- Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations regarding billing practices and financial transactions.
- Work closely with other revenue cycle and financial team members to enhance overall performance.
- Adheres to and supports team members in exhibiting TMCH values of integrity, community, compassion, and dedication.
- Adheres to TMCH organizational and department-specific safety, confidentiality, values, policies, and standards.
- Performs related duties as assigned.
##### MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION:Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, economics required.
EXPERIENCE: Three (3) - Five (5) years of relevant experience in healthcare setting.
LICENSURE OR CERTIFICATION: None required.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
- Ability to interpret financial data and identify trends.
- Exceptional attention to detail for identifying discrepancies in financial reports and patient accounts.
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Excel
- Strong communication skills both written and verbal.
