Role Overview

We’re hiring a Senior DevOps Engineer to scale, harden, and automate our cloud platform. You’ll design CI/CD architectures, evolve AWS infrastructure, optimize release workflows, and mentor engineers. This is a hands-on technical leadership role with substantial ownership over deployment, reliability, and automation systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain GitHub Actions pipelines optimized for large multi-service deployments
  • Architect continuous delivery flows using AWS CodeDeploy and related AWS services
  • Lead container orchestration using AWS ECS, including manifest and deployment strategy design
  • Implement and manage Infrastructure-as-Code using CDK for Terraform
  • Partner with solution architects and engineering leads to shape platform direction
  • Improve system reliability, observability, and release consistency
  • Drive DRY, minimalistic CI/CD designs that reduce operational overhead
  • Mentor junior DevOps and software engineers in DevOps best practices
  • Communicate DevOps priorities and tradeoffs clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders

Required Qualifications

  • 5 to 8+ years of experience in DevOps, SRE, or platform engineering roles
  • Strong command of:
  • Docker and Linux containers
  • AWS services (ECS, EC2, CodeDeploy, IAM, VPC, CloudWatch)
  • GitHub Actions or similar CI/CD tooling
  • Networking fundamentals in distributed systems
  • Shell scripting (Bash / POSIX)
  • Blue-green or similar progressive delivery techniques
  • Package and dependency management (e.g., NPM)
  • Due to federal government requirements, candidates must be US citizens and eligible to obtain and maintain a Common Access Card (CAC).

Nice to Have

  • Experience with Jira, Scrum, or Kanban workflows
  • High-availability architecture design experience
  • DNS and edge networking familiarity
  • Exposure to FinOps or cloud cost governance
