Software Engineer I, Engagement Growth
Role summary
Twitch is seeking a Software Engineer I, Engagement Growth to join their Community Team. This fullstack role involves building and operating consumer-facing features for web and mobile platforms that improve user experience and engagement for millions of daily active users. Responsibilities include delivering high-quality user experiences, collaborating with cross-functional teams on design and development, and maintaining backend services. The ideal candidate has 1+ years of software development experience, a background in building consumer-facing products at scale, and proficiency in modern languages and frameworks like React and Go. A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience is required. Experience with AWS technologies and Twitch's tech stack is a plus.

Twitch is all about community, and our Community Team is a core pillar of what makes Twitch, Twitch. Teams within Community are responsible for a myriad of product areas impacting the creator, viewer, and moderator journeys on our platform. As a member of our team, you’ll build solutions that improve g the experience of millions of daily active users on our platform and create tools that keep both streamers and viewers engaged and connected on our platform.
About the Role
The Community Products team manages a wide array of features and systems to help communities form, grow, and thrive on Twitch. These features let people participate in their favorite communities and discover new ones more efficiently. We work hard to bring novel opportunities to the world of streaming both individually and in collaboration with similar streamers. Some examples of spaces we own include Chat, Clips, Stream Together, Discovery, and Channel Points.
Our consumer facing features span both web and mobile surfaces. This position is fullstack, with some responsibilities focused around web & mobile development (React) and others around supporting and maintaining backend systems (AWS, Go).

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
