Role summary

Quail Run Hospital, a 115-bed acute care psychiatric facility in Phoenix, Arizona, is seeking a Staffing Coordinator. This role is responsible for ensuring adequate staffing for nursing units, managing PTO coverage, processing call-ins and absences, and reporting on overtime, 1:1 status, and temporary agency usage to the CFO. The position requires a high school diploma, 1-3 years of experience as a Staffing Coordinator, and certifications in Handle With Care and BLS. An Associate degree and 3-5 years of experience are preferred.

Job Description

The Staffing Coordinator is responsible for providing department staffing and support for the nursing units, as well as the CNO.

Job Duties/Responsibilities

  • Ensure adequate staffing for all nursing units, considering acuity, and working with CNO/Nurse Mangers/House Supervisors as needed. Ensure coverage for employees taking PTO. Process calls ins/absences and ensure coverage.
  • Review staffing with CNO to ensure adherence to staffing Acuity and any changes that affect Acuity Provide weekly overtime, 1; 1 status, “temporary agency” usage reports to CFO.

Qualifications

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required. Associate degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 1 to 3 years’ experience as a Staffing Coordinator required. 3 to 5 years preferred.
  • Handle With Care and Basic Life Support (BLS) for Providers required. Training offered at the facility.
  • Level 1 Arizona Fingerprint Clearance card or be able to obtain within 30 days of hire.
