About Ultrasound AI
Ultrasound AI is a healthcare AI startup that received FDA De Novo authorization (DEN250007, February 2026) for Delivery Date AI™, a product that helps OB/GYN clinicians estimate predicted delivery dates more precisely from standard ultrasound images they already capture. No new scans. No new workflow. Better information when it matters.
We’re entering a new stage of growth and building the software, systems, and workflows needed to scale responsibly in a regulated environment. This is a chance to join a small team doing technically ambitious work with real clinical impact.
About the Role
We’re hiring a Full-Stack Software Engineer who uses AI-assisted development as a core part of how they build. This is not a role for someone who occasionally uses autocomplete and calls it innovation. We want someone who knows how to use tools like Cursor, Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, or similar systems to move faster—while still applying strong engineering judgment.
You’ll work across our React application, APIs, AWS backend services, and data workflows. You should be comfortable taking ambiguous product or clinical requirements, turning them into working software quickly, and then improving the implementation until it is reliable, maintainable, and production-ready.
What You’ll Do
- Build and iterate on features across our web application, APIs, AWS backend services, and data workflows
- Translate product and clinical requirements into working software
- Use AI coding tools to prototype, implement, refactor, and accelerate development
- Review, test, and harden AI-generated code for quality, maintainability, security, and correctness
- Collaborate closely with product, design, clinical stakeholders, and leadership
- Contribute to engineering practices that fit a regulated healthcare environment
- Improve internal development workflows, prompts, and agent-based coding practices
- Help the team move fast without lowering the quality bar
What We’re Looking For
- Evidence that you’ve shipped real software using AI coding tools as a meaningful part of your workflow
- Strong engineering fundamentals and the ability to debug across the stack
- Experience with React/TypeScript and/or Python
- Experience building APIs, integrating services, and working with data models
- Comfortable evaluating AI-generated code critically rather than accepting it blindly
- Strong ownership, good judgment, and comfort operating in an early-stage environment
- Interest in mission-driven work that supports clinicians and patients
- Able to work in-office in the Denver metro area
Nice to Have
- Experience in healthcare, HIPAA, FDA-regulated software, or SaMD environments
- Experience with cloud infrastructure such as AWS, Azure, or GCP
- Experience with data pipelines, model integrations, or clinical data processing
- Experience at an early-stage startup
- Public writing, demos, or projects that show how you use AI in software development
Why Join Ultrasound AI
- Rare opportunity to join just after FDA De Novo authorization and help shape what comes next
- Small team, high ownership, and direct access to leadership
- Real clinical impact—your work will be used in healthcare settings
- Competitive compensation and equity
- An AI-native culture where experimentation and practical speed both matter
How to Apply
Please apply through Indeed with your resume or LinkedIn profile and a link to something you’ve built using AI coding tools—a repo, demo, deployed app, or similar. Include 2–3 sentences describing how AI was actually used in the build.
Ultrasound AI is an equal opportunity employer committed to building an inclusive team with diverse perspectives.
