Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Electrical Engineer to support maintenance and reliability operations within a heavy industrial environment. This role involves planning, executing, and optimizing electrical maintenance activities while ensuring safety, efficiency, and compliance with engineering standards. The ideal candidate will work independently and also guide technicians to improve plant performance and reliability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Implement and manage maintenance and reliability systems such as Preventive Maintenance (PM) and Total Productive Maintenance (TPM)
  • Train and guide technicians on maintenance techniques, Job Safety Analysis (JSA), and Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures
  • Identify and execute equipment upgrades and debottlenecking initiatives to improve process efficiency
  • Work with SAP (Systems, Applications & Products) for maintenance planning and reporting
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA safety standards and promote a zero-incident work culture
  • Perform preventive and predictive maintenance to ensure equipment uptime and reliability
  • Interpret and work independently with electrical schematics and technical drawings
  • Support installation, commissioning, and modification of electrical systems and equipment
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve technical issues
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
  • Perform additional duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
  • Minimum 3+ years of experience in a heavy industrial/manufacturing environment
  • Strong experience in PLC programming (Allen-Bradley/Rockwell or Siemens preferred)
  • Hands-on experience with motor drives and VFDs (installation, configuration, troubleshooting)
  • Experience with HMI/SCADA systems (development and maintenance)
  • Ability to read, interpret, and modify electrical schematics and drawings
  • Experience working with high-voltage systems (minimum 480V; 4160V preferred)
  • Knowledge of preventive and predictive maintenance systems (PM/TPM)
  • Strong understanding of safety standards including OSHA, LOTO, arc flash, and confined space protocols

Preferred Skills

  • Experience in SAP for maintenance operations
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and lead maintenance activities
  • Good communication and team collaboration skills

Pay: $70,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
