
RF Field Test Engineer
Role summary
The RF Field Test Engineer will collect 5G/4G low-band and mid-band data using scanners and provisioned UEs. This role involves performing stationary and mobility tests, synchronizing measurements, and using GPS navigation for site location and drive routes. Proficiency with RF drive test tools such as TEMS Paragon, XCAL, and NEMO is required. The candidate must have prior RF/RAN Field Engineering experience, understand wireless technologies like LTE and 5G, and be willing to travel extensively and work independently across New Jersey, New York, and Pennsylvania for 8-10 hours per day.
๐๐จ๐ฌ๐ข๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง: RF Drive Test Engineer โ (New Jersey, New York, and Pennsylvania)
๐๐จ๐ญ๐: The candidate must be a USC, GC, or EAD holder and be able to travel and work across New Jersey, New York, and Pennsylvania as per project requirements. They must also be flexible to work 8โ10 hours per day in the field.
Prior RF Drive Test Engineer experience is preferred
Job Responsibilities:
- Collect 5G/4G low-band and mid-band data using scanner, and provisioned UEs
- Perform 5G/4G stationary and mobility tests across the grid points within the clusters
- Synchronize UE and scanner measurements
- Use GPS navigation to locate sites and execute assigned KML-based drive routes
- Proficient in RF drive test tools such as TEMS Paragon, XCAL, NEMO
Requirement:
- Current or prior RF/RAN Field Engineering experience
- Willing to travel extensively and work independently for field activities.
- Experience with drive testing equipment and software, including data collection and troubleshooting skills
- Understanding of wireless technologies such as LTE, 5G, and RF/RAN engineering processes
