Description

Applies knowledge of statistics, machine learning, programming, data modeling, simulation, and advanced mathematics to recognize patterns, identify opportunities, pose business questions, and make valuable discoveries leading to the development and improvement of processes. Identify limitations, or potential issues with datasets and data types that may impact performance from machine learning algorithms. Re-train models as needed to address new challenges, or novel goals. Aid investigators and stakeholders in the validation of results. Generate detailed reports and presentations. May mentor and train junior staff members.

Clean, transform, and analyze large datasets in preparation for modeling .Develop and automate predictive and scoring models. Design and development of complex database queries for researchers .Adhere to data quality processes to ensure product is valid and reproducible. Troubleshooting skills. Updates and maintains code, while continuously improving processes. Works with a team of diverse, motivated individuals toward a shared mission

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Performs other duties as assigned

Salary: $85,600 - $111,280

Qualifications

Doctorate degree in a related field OR Master's degree in a related field and two (2) years of related experience OR Bachelor’s degree in related field and four (4) years of related experience required. Work experience may NOT substitute for education requirement.

Preferred Skills & Knowledge:

  • Strong analytical, time-management, problem-solving and decision-making abilities
  • Experience with translating information requirements into SQL code
  • Proactive and creative techniques in solving researchers' problems
  • Positive attitude
  • Ability to work well with others, and independently
  • Proficiency using Python
  • Ability to learn new applications and packages in a timely manner
