
Workforce Data Engineer
Role summary
UCSF is seeking a Workforce Data Engineer to support the Master Person Registry and develop advanced workforce data models. This role involves integrating data from various enterprise sources using dimensional modeling principles (Kimball methodology) and SSIS-supported data pipelines. The engineer will create reliable analytic datasets and metrics, potentially incorporating AI-augmented approaches. This position requires a strong understanding of data management concepts and the ability to resolve complex data challenges within a healthcare setting.
Having significant experience, applies advanced data / information management concepts and campus / medical center / OP objectives to resolve highly complex issues where analyses of situations, information or data require an in-depth evaluation of variable factors. Selects methods and techniques to obtain desired results. Workforce Data Engineer will support maintenance of UCSF’s governed Master Person Registry (Person Dimension). Will also design, develop, and validate workforce data models that integrate traditional and AI-augmented approaches. Leveraging dimensional modeling principles (Kimball methodology) and SSIS-supported data pipelines, this role integrates data from multiple enterprise sources to create reliable analytic datasets and metrics.
