Role summary

Lead Military Program Manager responsible for planning, organizing, integrating, and directing program management activities for military projects within the Division's geographic boundaries. This role involves coordinating with other operating elements, managing program functions related to design and construction, and providing coaching, facilitation, and problem-solving support. The position requires estimating and reporting on progress, facilitating issue resolution, and possessing at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 grade level, including managing military programs and participating in Project Review Board meetings.

Duties

  • Serve as Lead Military Program Manager with responsibility for planning, organizing, integrating, and directing program management activities and for coordinating these activities with other operating elements of the Division and with the districts.
  • Manage program functions related to the design and construction of military projects within the Division's geographic boundaries.
  • Perform a range of coordinating, coaching, facilitating, problem solving, integrating, reviewing, and support duties in support of the unit.
  • Estimate and report to the team on progress in meeting established milestones and deadlines for completion of assignments, projects, and tasks.
  • Facilitate resolution of project and program issues.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service which includes managing projects or programs involving Military programs; participating in Project Review Board (PRB) meetings; and providing a regional perspective and insight on military program issues.

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-13).
